EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 31.12.2009)

(Officer Scale-I)

A degree from any recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC) marks in aggregate.

and

The candidate must have proficiency in local language i.e. Punjabi and must have passed “Punjabi” as one of the subject at Matriculation/ Senior School Certificate (old pattern) or at equivalent level.

Preference in selection will be given to candidates with computer Literates in MS DOS, MS Word, MS Excel, and Networking etc.

Candidates with higher qualifications in Engineering/ Agri. Engineering/ Business Administration/ Law/ Agriculture/ Veterinary Science/ M.Sc. Computer Science/ MCA/ Chartered Accountant/ Horticulture/ Marketing etc. will get preference in selection.

The candidate must have knowledge of English language i.e. the candidate must have passed “English” as one of the subject at Matriculation/ Senior School Certificate (old pattern) or at equivalent level.

Pass with a minimum 60% (55% for SC) marks in aggregate in Matriculation / Senior School Certificate (old pattern) / 10th standard or equivalent. OR

Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of 10+2 of 10+2+3 pattern/ XI Standard of 11+3 pattern/ Pre-degree or Intermediate or any equivalent examination with 50% (45% for SC) marks in aggregate; or

Degree of recognized University in any discipline or its equivalent; with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC) marks in aggregate; or

Diploma in Banking recognized by Central Govt./ State or Union Territory

And

The candidate must have knowledge of English language i.e. the candidate must have passed “English” as one of the subject at Matriculation/ Senior School Certificate (old pattern) or at equivalent level.
