Pune Bomb Blast in German Bakery and Hospitals Help line - 2010

India seems to be targeted by terrorists once again. Today on the 13th February, there was a Bomb Blast in Pune that killed 8 people and around 50 people were injured. The blast incident has occurred at the German Bakery Koregaon Park. It is located near Osho Ashram which is visited by a lot of foreign nationals. The blast occurred when a waiter in the bakery tied to open an unidentified object. The blast is said to have targeted foreigners. Following the blast the government has issued advisory to all citizens saying not to touch any unidentified object.

The blast site was a German bakery in an area that houses not only the Osho ashram but also the local Jewish prayer centre, the Chabad House. With several foreigners known to frequent the bakery, they may have well been the intended target. Incidentally, Koregaon Park is one of the spots that was receed by American terror suspect, David Coleman Headley, in 2009 for a future terror attack. Headley had stayed in a hotel opposite the Osho ashram, frequented by foreign tourists, and had even visited the ashram.

Security arrangements have been further strengthened in Kolkata ahead of India and South Africa match scheduled for tomorrow.Bomb disposal squad has reached the place of incident to investigate any suspicious object found there.

At least five to seven kilogram of IED was used in the bomb blast, which occured outside the German Bakery here, NDTV reported Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) sources as saying.
